Truco Venezolano 6.21.73

The objective of Truco Venezolano is to be the first to reach a certain number of points. The game is played with a deck of 40 Spanish cards, excluding eights, nines, and jokers. It is a multiplayer game that can be played by 2 or 4 players in teams of 2.

In each round, every player is dealt three cards. One card is turned face up and is known as the "Vira". The player who plays the highest card wins the hand, and the team that wins two out of three hands wins the round. The score for each round is determined by the agreed-upon values assigned to the "cantos," the "toques," and the "gritos". Each of these actions has a different point value and affects the overall score of the round.

• Cantos: "Flor", "Flor Reservada", "Contraflor al Resto", "Con Flor Envido"
• Toques: "Envido", "Real Envido", "Falta Envido"
• Gritos: "Truco", "Retruco", "Vale 9", "Vale Partido"

The points associated with these actions are only counted if the opponent agrees. The team that wins the round earns those points.

Here are the values of the cards and their names in ascending order:

• Common cards: 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3
• "Matas" ("killers"): 7 of gold, 7 of swords, 1 of clubs, 1 of sword
• "Pieces" ("piezas") or cards of the suit ("pinta") of the "vira": 10 of the suit of the "vira" (known as "Perica"), 11 of the suit of the "vira" (known as "Perico")
• Values of the cards for the "flor" or "envido": The 11 of the "vira" is worth 30 points, and the 10 of the "vira" is worth 29 points. The remaining cards are worth their face value, except for the 10, 11, and 12, which are worth 0. If the "vira" is a "pieza" (10 or 11), the 12 of that suit assumes the value of the "pieza" found on the "vira"
